The sandspit of Sarodrano is located in the south-west of Madagascar, near Tuléar. The successive stages of the progradation of the spit are studied. The recent evolution is going to sever the sandy accumulation from the mainland. The sandspit has been used by fishermen to settle their village from the former stages of its edification. The village removed with the morphologic evolution in relationship with the progradation of the mangrove. An other interesting point is the problem of the origin and transit of the sand.

Située sur la côte sud-ouest de Madagascar, la flèche de Sarodrano est une grande accumulation sableuse à crochet, qui a servi de site d'habitat pour les pêcheurs dès les stades anciens de sa construction. L'habitat a migré au fur et à mesure de l'allongement de la flèche, dont la dynamique et les différents stades d'édification sont étudiés. Outre cette corrélation entre évolution morphologique et archéologie, cette flèche est intéressante par ses problèmes d'alimentation sableuse. Le recul rapide du rivage près de l'enracinement est sur le point de transformer le corps de l'accumulation en une île.
