Un tétradrachme aux types de Lysimaque réputé avoir été frappé à Lysimachie après sa mort a clairement été surfrappé sur un type rare et spectaculaire d’Antiochos Sôter (une tête de cheval décorée de cornes). Ce tétradrachme a sans doute été surfrappé avec la volonté d’effacer les images d’Antiochos au moment où la cité de Lysimachie aurait fait partie de la «Ligue du Nord » , une alliance de cités ayant lutté contre l’extension du pouvoir séleucide dans la région après la mort de Lysimaque à Coroupedion.
