Die Chronologie des Solutreans wurde in Laugerie-Haute bestimmt (Les Eyzies de Tayac, Dordogne, France). D. Peyrony hat folgende Stufen unterschieden : Protosolutrean, Altsolutrean mit einflächiger Spitze, Mittelsolutrean mit Blattspitze, Jungsolutrean mit Kerbspitze. Die Untersuchung der Sammlungen, die aus den an beiden Seiten der Höhle (Laugerie Haute Osten und Laugerie Haute Westen) gemachten Ausgrabungen von F. Bordes und P.E.L. Smith stammen, zeigen, da die beiden Stratigraphien verschieden sind. Sie stammen nicht aus der gleichen Zeit, und es gibt Lücken in der Ablagerung. Deshalb mu man folgende Stufen unterscheiden : Laugerie Haute Osten, Protosolutrean, ein entwickelter Solutrean mit Blattspitze und einflächiger Spitze ; Laugerie Haute Western : Alsolutrean mit einflächiger Spitze, ein entwickelter Solutrean mit Blattspitze und Kratzer von Laugerie Haute. Auerdem ist es auch möglich, da die ganze Folge des Solutrans in Laugerie-Haute nicht vorkommt. In Folge dessen mu die Chronologie des Solutreans geändert werden, denn sie ist nicht so einfach wie die von Peyrony bestimmte Chronologie, welche nur aus 4 Stufen besteht.
The chronology of the Solutrean was determined in Laugerie-Haute (Les Eyzies de Tayac, Dordogne, France). D. Peyrony has distinguished the following levels : Protosolutréen, Old-Solutrean with unifacial point, Middle-Solutrean with laurel leaf, Young- Solutrean with shouldered point. The analysis of the collections, which derive from the excavations of F. Bordes and P.E.L. Smith at the both sides of the shelter (Laugerie-Haute-East and Laugerie-Haute-West) shows that the both stratigraphics are different. They don't date of the same time and there are gaps in the sedimentation. Therefore we have to distinguish the following levels : à Laugerie-Haute-Est. Protosolutréen, an evolved Solutrean with laurel leaf, and unifacial point ; à Laugerie-Haute Ouest, old-solutrean with unifacial point, an evolved Solutrean with laurel leaf and scraper of Laugerie-Haute. Besides it is also possible that the whole sequence of the Solutrean is not to be found in Laugerie-Haute. Therefore the chronology of the Solutrean has to be changed because it is not as simple as the chronology defined by D. Peyrony, which consists of 4 levels.
La chronologie du Solutréen a été définie à Laugene-Haute (Les Eyzies de Tayac, Dordogne, France). D. Peyrony a distingué : le Protosolutréen, le Solutréen ancien à pointe à face plane, le Solutréen moyen à feuille de laurier, le Solutréen récent à pointe à cran. L'analyse des collections des fouilles de F. Bordes et P.E.L. Smith aux deux extrémités de l'abri (Laugerie-Haute-Est et Ouest) montre que ces deux stratigraphies sont différentes. On note une absence de contemporanéité et des lacunes dans la sédimentation. Il faut alors distinguer : à l'Est, le Protosolutréen, un Solutréen évolué à feuille de laurier et pointe à face plane ; à l'Ouest. un Solutréen ancien à pointe à face plane, un Solutréen évolué à feuille de laurier et grattoir de Laugerie-Haute.
