The site of Gilgal I in the Lower Jordan Valley has been occupied during two short phases of occupation attributed to an early PPNA in the beginning of the 8th millennium. Several round houses were excavated which produced a rich material, in particular lithics, stone vessels and figurines.

Le site de Gilgal I, dans la basse vallée du Jourdain a été occupé au cours de deux courtes périodes attribuées à deux phases anciennes du PPNA datées du début du 8e millénaire. Plusieurs maisons rondes comportant un abondant matériel (industrie lithique, vaisselle en pierre et figurines) y ont été fouillées.
