Die Schnecke gegen den Bruch ?. In die lange Geschichte des Gebrauches der Schnecke in der Therapeutik, gehört auch das La Cochliopérie intitulierte Werk von George Tarenne (1808), in welchem er vorschlug gewisse Brüche zu behandeln indem der Schneckensaft eine Verschrumpfung der Bruchöffnung verursachen sollte.

Snails for a hernia ?. In the long history of the use of the snail in therapy, a place must be noted for George Tarenne, for his work of 1808, La Cochliopérie, in which he proposes to cure certain hernias by employing the juice of the snail to encourage shrinking of the hernial opening.
