Ein « Christus in der Apotheke » oder « Die Heiligen Kosmas und Damian » ? Ein anonymes piemontesisches Gemälde des 17. Jts stellt eine heilige Figur dar welche, in einer pharmazeutischen Offizin, einen Kranken heilt während eine andere auf einem Recepturtisch mit Medizinalpflanzen umgeht. Handelt es sich um Christus mit einem Assistenten oder um Sankt Kosmas, der Arzt, mit Sankt Damian, der Apotheker ?

A « Christ in the Pharmacy » or « Saints Cosmas and Damian » ? A painting by an unknown Piedmont artist of the 18th century depicts a holy figure in the pharmacy laboratory, curing a patient, and another figure working with medicinal herbs at a counter. Is the subject Christ with an assistant, or Saint Cosmas, the physician, with Saint Damian, the pharmacist ?
