Chemistry and pharmacy at the international Exhibition of East France (Nancy, 1909). The International Exhibition of East France, held in Nancy in 1909 from may to november, received more than 2 000 exhibiters and more than 2 000 000 visitors. Among the presentations were chemistry and pharmacy that gathered more than one hundred french and belgian pharmacists, individually or in collectivities. The examination of archives reveals that these presentations were marked by the development of industrial pharmacy. The high school of pharmacy of Nancy showed his new industrial pharmacy teaching laboratory, then the single in France. The students association and the general association of french pharmacists choosed Nancy, where the artistic movement was still flourishing, to organize their annual congress during the exhibition.
