Die Luftnegative werden digitalisiert und erfahren verschiedene Behandlungen um die Lesbarkeit zu verbessern. Bei Negativen unterscheiden wir die monochrome und die Farbbehandlung. Bei der Monchrombehandlung wird das Bild auf andere Weise als ein gewöhnliches Plakat dargestellt, um seine Besonderheiten herauszustreichen. Ein Histogramm liefert die Haufigkeit des Sichtbarwerdens jeder Grauschicht im Bild. Diese Verteilung der verschiedenen Graustufen wird genutzt um die Dynamik der Negative zu verändern und gestattet die Wiederauffindung von Grenzlinien innerhalb der Schichten. Diese Veränderung um ein Pixel je nach Umgebung und die Verwendung eines arithmetischen Operateurs vergrössern den Kontrast eines nicht so deutlichen Negatives. Die Datenverabeitung eines Farbphotos verlangt nach einer anderen Technik : es muss eine Farbtonpalette und anschliessend eine Anordnung der Farben erstellt werden.

The aerial photograph will be computerised (numerised) and submitted to various treatments in order to improve its legibility. Monochrome and colour treatments are dealt with separately. Monochrome pictures will be presented with a method differing from ordinary display, in order to stress their properties. A histogram will supply the display frequency of each level of grey in the picture. This distribution of grey levels will be used to modify the dynamics of negatives and to find the limits of these levels. Pixel modification in relation to its environnement (smoothing) and the use of an arithmetic operator will enhance contrast when the negative is too weak. Computer treatment of colour photographs will call for a completely different method : a range of tints will be created, to be followed by their cycling.

Le cliché aérien sera digitalisé (numérisé) et subira différents traitements dans le but d'améliorer sa lisibilité. Nous distinguons le traitement monochrome du traitement couleur d'un cliché. Lors du traitement monochrome, l'image sera présentée sous une autre forme qu'un affichage ordinaire afin de mettre en évidence ses propriétés. Un histogramme fournira la fréquence d'apparition de chaque niveau de gris de l'image. Cette distribution des niveaux de gris sera utile pour modifier la dynamique des clichés en permettant de retrouver les bornes de répartition de ces niveaux. La modification d'un pixel en fonction de son environnement (lissage) et l'emploi d'un opérateur arithmétique augmenteront le contraste d'un cliché peu vigoureux. Le traitement informatique d'une photo couleur fera appel à une technique toute différente : création d'une palette de teintes puis cyclage de ces couleurs.
