Anhand der Untersuchung von an die 700 Bestattungsensembles mit 4 300 Fundstücken aus der Zeit von Latène A1 bis Latène D2 aus der Picardie und den angrenzenden Gebieten konnte eine Zuordnungsliste erstellt werden, die neben einer hierarchisierten Darstellung der Daten und der unterschiedlichen im Grab angetroffenen funktionellen Kategorien eine synthetische Betrachtungsweise ermöglicht. Der persönliche Besitz, Kleidung oder Grabbeigaben sind durch Schmuck, Waffen, Trachtbestandteile und Toilettgegenstände oder Werkzeug vertreten. Selbst, wenn der Status des Verstorbenen in einigen chronologisch-kulturellen Horizonten an der Ausstattung erkennbar ist, haben wir keine materiellen Spuren gefunden, die uns über die Funktion des Individuums innerhalb der Gruppe Auskunft gegeben hätten. Allein das Vorhandensein von Waffen kann zugleich von einer soziale Stellung und einer militärische Funktion zeugen. Nahrungsreste sowie Tisch-und Kochgeschirr und Vorratsgefäße erlauben Rückschlüsse auf die Ernährungsgewohnheiten. Die Unterschiede hinsichtlich der Form und der Anzahl der Gefäße sind bezeichnend für die Auswahlkriterien der als Grabbeigaben dienenden Keramik und die Existenz unterschiedlicher Typen von „ Geschirrsätzen“, die ebenso die Entwicklung der Ernährungsgewohnheiten widerspiegeln wie die jeweils hervorgehobenen Funktionen. Die unterschiedlichen, innerhalb unseres Corpus’ von Latène A1 bis Latène D2 in der Picardie angetroffenen materiellen, funktionalen, und symbolischen Konfigurationen veranschaulichen die Unterschiede in der „ Totenkleidung“ und den Grabbeigaben. Sie zeugen auch von einer großen Bandbreite der Bestattungsrituale, die der Deponierung vorausgingen.

The survey of nearly 700 sets of burial deposits, that is 4300 items, dating from La Tène A1 to La Tène D2 , in Picardy and on its fringes, has enabled us to establish a model allowing a hierarchical presentation of the data and of the various functional groups which appear in the graves, as well as facilitating a global approach. The personal possessions worn by or deposited alongside the deceased are represented by jewels, weapons, dress accessories and toilet or tool bags. Even if the social status of the deceased may be determined, in certain chrono-cultural levels, thanks to the type of accessories displayed, we cannot rely on any specific item which would indicate the position of the person in the group. Only the presence of weapons may attest both a social status and a military position. Diet is suggested both by edible goods and recipients belonging to table sets, or related to cooking and sometimes storage. Variations in shapes and numbers are typical here of changes in the way the pottery deposited in the burials was selected, and of the existence of different sorts of “ sets”, showing not only an evolution in dietary practices, but also a deliberate exercise of choice in the functions highlighted. The varied practical, functional and symbolic aspects observed in our corpus, in the periods from La Tène A1 to La Tène D2 in Picardy, are examples of the wide range of choice in the way the deceased were “ dressed up”, and in the offerings that accompany them. They also highlight some deep differences in the funerary rites which governed these offerings.

L’étude de près de 700 ensembles funéraires, soit 4 300 objets, répartis de La Tène A1 à La Tène D2 en Picardie et ses marges, a permis la mise en place d’une grille de lecture autorisant une présentation hiérarchisée des données et des différentes catégories fonctionnelles figurées dans la tombe, ainsi qu’une approche synthétique. Les effets personnels du défunt portés ou déposés à ses côtés sont évoqués par des éléments de parure, d’armement, d’accessoires vestimentaires et des trousses (de toilette ou d’outils). Même si le statut du défunt est perceptible à certains horizons chrono-culturels, à travers le type de «panoplies » , nous ne disposons d’aucun objet pour définir la fonction de l’individu au sein du groupe. Seule la présence d’armes peut révéler à la fois un statut social et une fonction de type militaire. L’alimentation est suggérée à la fois par des consommables et des vases liés au service de la table, à la préparation et parfois au stockage. La variation des formes et des effectifs caractérise ici des changements dans le mode de sélection des récipients déposés dans les sépultures et l’existence de différents types de «service » , qui reflètent l’évolution des pratiques alimentaires mais aussi des orientations dans les fonctions mises en avant. Les différentes configurations matérielles, fonctionnelles et symboliques enregistrées au sein de notre corpus de La Tène A1 à La Tène D2 en Picardie, illustrent l’éventail des choix de «l’habillement » des défunts et des dépôts qui les accompagnent. Elles mettent en évidence également de profondes variations dans les gestuelles funéraires, qui ont présidé à ces dépôts.
