The inscription CIL, XII, 4379 = HGL, XV, 100, from Narbonne shows that Glanum was a colony: that is a Latin colony, like its neighbours Auennio and Cabellio. The city therefore enjoyed complete political autonomy during the augustan period, an autonomy which it preserved until the third century.

L'inscription de Narbonne CIL, XII, 4379 = HGL, XV, 100, indique que Glanum fut colonie, c'est-à-dire colonie latine, comme ses voisines Anennio et Cabellio. La cité jouissait donc d'une totale autonomie politique à l'époque augustéenne. Elle la préserva jusqu'au troisième siècle.
