Two structures of floor mosaics symbolize the representation of the order of the universe and the circle of knowledge. On one hand there is a geometrically divided field, on the other a unitary field. The first one refers to architecture and reveals both its importance in Roman civilization and the visualization of the Greek idea of a perfect, therefore orderly, cosmos.

Les représentations mosaïquées de deux thèmes, l'ordre de l'univers et le cercle des connaissances, permettent de distinguer deux types de structure : d'une part un champ compartimenté et géométrique, d'autre part un champ unitaire. Le premier fait référence à l'architecture et manifeste l'importance de celle-ci dans la civilisation romaine, tout en traduisant visuellement l'idée grecque d'un cosmos parfait, donc ordonné.
