After rejecting Giangrande's recent interpretation of the crux in line 6 (REG, 1969), along with the prevailing one, suggested by Kaibel and accepted by Wilamowitz, Cahen, Pfeiffer, Gow and Page, and others, the author defends ten-Brink's (1851) and Bergk's (1865) conjecture πελανοῦ, thus reading : βούλει, πελανοῦ, even for a half-obol (i.e. for a doit) you get a full-grown ox in Hades'.
