The history of the Guillemot, Razorbill, and Puffin colonies of the French Atlantic Coast is briefly retraced. Details are given on the population dynamics of the Puffins nesting on the Sept Iles, and of the Sizun Guillemots. The relative importance of the various mortality factors of the adult population is discussed.
