Der Name in Afrika Jedes Volk hat seine eigene Art und Weise, Namen zu wählen. In gewissen Fallen kann man von einem Familien- oder Sippennamen sprechen. Der Eigenname ist als ein Teil der Persönlichkeit anzusehen ; es kann daher gefährlich sein, ihn in der Öffentlichkeit preiszugeben. Meistens tragt eine Person eine ganze Reihe von Namen - die einen bedeutungsvoller, die andern oberflachlicher.
