Die österreichische Gesellschaft, die sich einigelt, ist stark xenophob und lehnt alles „Fremde“ ab. In diesem Kontext bleibt die Anzahl der von den Rechtsextremen und den Linksextremen, der sogenannten antifaschistischen „Konfrontation“, hervorgerufenen Gewalttaten sehr gering, was im Fall Österreichs die These der Absorption extremistischer Gewalt bestätigt.

Dans ce contexte, les violences d'extrême-droite et celles dite de « confrontation » antifasciste suscitées par l’extrême-gauche restent très peu nombreuses, ce qui valide, dans le cas autrichien, la thèse de l’absorption des violences extrémistes.
