THE POLITICAL SOCIALISATION OF COMMUNIST MILITANTS, by JACQUES DERVILLE ET MAURICE CROISAT A political party has a socialisation fonction in regard to its members. For the French Communist Party this fonction has decisive importance, since it has to ensure the teaching of Marxism-Leninism, keep watch over the party line, and at the same time maintain ideological unity in the Communist community in order to avoid a break between Communist intellectuals and the grass roots or even the development of fractions and tendencies within the party. This survey of party militants in three cells in the Grenoble area provides some elements for thought, in particular on the importance of communist socialisation factors before joining the party (family, work environment, trade union), on the role of cell meetings and the way in which militants have made their own the political line of the 22nd Congress. LA SOCIALISATION POLITIQUE DES MILITANTS COMMUNISTES, par JACQUES DERVILLE ET MAURICE CROISAT Un parti politique exerce une fonction de socialisation auprès de ses militants. Pour le Parti communiste cette fonction a une importance décisive puisqu'il doit assurer une pédagogie du marxisme-léninisme, veiller à la prééminence de sa ligne politique, tout en maintenant l'unité idéologique de la communauté communiste, afin d'éviter l'apparition d'une coupure entre intellectuels et militants de base, voire le développement de tendances et de fractions. L'enquête entreprise auprès des militants appartenant à trois cellules de la région grenobloise apporte quelques éléments de réflexion en cette matière, en particulier sur l'importance des facteurs de socialisation communiste antérieure à l'adhésion (famille, milieu du travail, organisation syndicale), sur le rôle des réunions de cellule et la manière dont les militants ont intériorisé la ligne politique du XXIIe congrès.
