Zusammenfassung. — Die karbonhaltigen Erzeugnisse finden ihre hauptsáchlichste Verwendung in der Elektrochemie und in der Elektro- metallurgie. Die Standorte der Fabrikation befinden sich infolgedessen inmitten des nôrdlichen Teils der franzôsischen Alpen. Aber wahrend es heute in diesem Gebiet an Platz mangelt, steigt die Nachfrage in der Welt, und in Verbindung mít der internationalen Orientierung der Gruppe Pechiney Ugine Kuhlmann erklárt dies den Verlust des alpinen Quasimonopols.
