The excavations undertaken in 1989 have been extended to a larger area. The site of the forum square, up to now covered with rubble, has recovered today its original levels. The first interpretations given of the filling up of the south wing of the cryptoportico have been confirmed (1989 excavation report), and the datation of the dump made more precise (early Vth century). Other works have been opened in the south portico bordering the main square. Beside tokens of a late occupation (dwelling), several phases of construction were brought to light. The result of the 1990 excavations will be to renew in a very deep way the view one had hitherto of this building. Their continuation in 1991 will add accuracy to its spatial and architectural organisation and to the chronology of its different stages of construction.

Les fouilles entreprises en 1989 se sont poursuivies sur une plus grande surface. Le site de la place du forum auparavant recouvert de remblais a retrouvé aujourd'hui ses niveaux d'origine. Les premières interprétations sur le comblement de l'aile sud des cryptoportiques ont été confirmées (rapport de fouilles de 1989), et la datation du dépotoir précisée (début du Ve s.). Un autre chantier a été ouvert dans le portique sud qui borde la place centrale. Outre une occupation tardive (habitat), plusieurs phases de construction ont été mises en évidence. L'apport des fouilles de 1990 renouvelle de façon profonde la vision que l'on avait jusqu'ici de cet édifice. Leur poursuite en 1991 précisera l'organisation spatiale et architecturale ainsi que la chronologie des différents états de construction.

De opgravingen waarmee in 1989 begonnen werd, werden voortgezet op een groter terrein. Het forum- plein dat vol afbraakmateriaal lag heeft nu zijn oorspronkelijke niveau teruggekregen. De eerste hypothèse over het dempen van de zuidvleugel van de cryptoportieken werd bevestigd (verslag van 1989), en de datum van het storten nauwkeuriger bepaald (begin 5de eeuw). In de zuidelijke portiek an het grote plein werd met een nieuwe werf begonnen. Men vond sporen van late bewoning en verschillende bouwfazen. De opgravingen van 1990 brengen een nieuwe en meer nauwkeurige visie op dit gebouw. In 1991 zal men een beter beeld krikgen van de ruimtelijke indeling en van de crhonologie van de bouwfazen.
