Der vulkanische Komplex im oberen Dollertal gehört zum Kulm und stellt eine Reihe dar von sauren Gesteinen wie quarzführendem Keratophyr zur basischen Gesteinen wie Trachy-Andesit, Gabbro und Mikrogabbro. Es finden sich ebenfalls verschiedene vulkanische Breccien sowie Schiefer. In diesen Komplex dringen die Intrusivmassive des Granits vom Elsässer Belchen und des Syenits von Sewen ein. Die petrographischen und tektonischen Veränderungen in der Kontaktzone sind schwach ausgeprägt, aber die Deformationserscheinungen, die aus dem räumlichen Zusammenhang zwischen Granitmassiven und vulkanisch-sedimentären Gesteinen abgeleitet werden können, sind beträchtlich und geben ein gutes Bild der Ausdehnung und des Massstabes der späten herzynischen Tektonik.

Если петрографическия и тектоническия изменения которые наблюдались в зоне контакта описанные в этом тексте недостаточно полны, наоборот выясненные деформации пространственных отношении между массивами и вулкано-осадочными комплексами имеют большое значение. Они дают хорошую картину объема и размера герцинской поздней тектоники.
In the Upper Doller valley, the volcanic Culm complex, which includes a continuous serie of acid- (quartz bearing keratophyres) to basic rocks (trachy-andesites, gabbros and microgabbros), is associated to various volcanic breccias and schists and in contact with the Ballon d'Alsace granite and Sewen syenite. The tectonic and pétrographie transformations at the granite and syenite contact, described in the text, are only minor ones, but from the spatial relationships between the granite bodies and the supracrustal complex it may be inferred major deformations which give a good picture of the late hercynian tectonism size and scale.
Dans la haute vallée de la Doller, le complexe volcanique du Culm, comprenant une suite continue depuis les roches acides représentées par des kératophyres quartziques jusqu'aux roches basiques telles que les trachy-andésites, gabbros et microgabbros, associé à des brèches volcaniques variées et à des schistes, se trouve au contact des massifs intrusifs du granite du Ballon d'Alsace et de la syénite de Sewen. Si les transformations pétrographiques et tectoniques observées dans la zone de contact et décrites dans le texte soit discrètes, au contraire les déformations déduites des relations spatiales entre les massifs granitiques et le complexe volcano-sédimentaire sont importantes et donnent une bonne image de l'ampleur et de l'échelle de la tectonique hercynienne tardive.
