Nach einer Erläuterung der Arbeitsmethoden werden die in situ gefundenen F'aunen und Floren bestimmt und beschrieben, ihre relative Häufigkeit wird geschätzt. Eine paläoökologisclie Tabelle wird aufgestellt ; sie zeigt eine Wechsellagerung von mariner Fauna und kontinentaler sowie mariner Flora, die in Ufernähe abgelagert worden sind. Eine Rekonstruktion der devonischen Landschaft im Frasne wird versucht.

Ископаемые органические остатки франкского обнажения в каменоломне венгера и пети в герсбахе (долина р. брюш, вогезы) После изложения методов исследований, собранные в обнажении остатки фрауны и флоры определяются, описываются и оцениваются в количественном отношении. Предлагается палеоэкологическая таблица, в которой проявляется чередование морской фауны с континентальной и морской флорой, отложенными в прибрежной зоне. Делается попытка восстановить Франский ландшафт.

After an account of the methods of investigation, the faunae and florae located in situ are identified and described and their respective abundance is estimated. A paleoecological table is proposed : it shows an alteration of a marine fauna and of a continental and marine flora deposited in a littoral domain. A reconstruction of a Frasnian landscape is attempted.

Après un exposé des méthodes de recherche, les faunes et flores repérées in situ sont déterminées et décrites et leur abondance respective estimée. Un tableau paléoécologique est proposé ; il révèle une alternance d'une faune marine et d'une flore continentale et marine déposées dans un domaine littoral. La reconstitution d'un paysage frasnien est tentée.
