Sedimentäre Phosphatformationen verschiedener Regionen (vor allem aus Afrika, den Pyrenäen, der Türkei, dem Kontinentalschelf im Norden Spaniens) sowie unterschiedlichen Alters (Karbon, Oberkreide bis Paläozän, Neogen) wurden untersucht. Die chemischen Analysen lieferten die Hauptelemente und 15 Spurenelemente. Zahlreiche analytische Daten aus dem Sedimentpetrographischen Institut der Università't Strassbuig und der internationalen Literatur konnten zusà'tzlich für statistische wie einfache graphische Methoden berücksichtigt werden. Die Ergebnisse ermöglichen die Bestimmung von Vergesellschaftungen, die allen Serien gemeinsam sind und eine Phosphatsedimentation zu charakterisieren scheinen, sowie besondere Vergesellschaftungen für jede Lagerstätte, die möglicherweise das Gebiet und die Epoche kennzeichnen.

This paper is being published in English in an abridged version in a special volume of the S.E.P.M. devoted to the Symposium on phosphorites held at the Tenth International Sedimentological Congress with the title : Behaviour of some trace elements in phosphatic sedimentary formations. This study concerns sedimentary phosphate bearing formations from various regions (Africa, Turkey, French Pyrénées, the continental margin of northern Spain) and of different ages (Carboniferous, Upper Cretaceous to Paleogene, Neogene). Samples were analysed for all major elements and fifteen trace elements. A lot of chemical analyses, either made in the authors laboratory, or derived from the international literature, have been treated by simple statistical and graphical methods. The results permit to separe associations which are common to all formations, thus being characteristic of the phosphatic sedimentation, and other associations which are particular to each formation, thus characteristic of a special region or a special period.

Des formations phosphatées sédimentaires de régions diverses (pourtour africain, Pyrénées, Turquie, marge continentale au Nord de l'Espagne) et d'âges variés (Carbonifère, Crétacé supérieur à Paléogène, Néogène) ont été étudiées. Les analyses chimiques portent sur les éléments majeurs et quinze éléments en traces. De nombreuses données analytiques obtenues au Laboratoire de Sédimentologie de Strasbourg ou puisées dans la littérature internationale ont pu être ainsi traitées par des méthodes statistiques et graphiques simples. Les résultats permettent de dégager les associations communes à toutes les séries et qui semblent ainsi caractériser la sédimentation phosphatée, et des associations particulières à chaque gisement qui semblent caractériser la région et l'époque.
