Monetary flow in a central village of the Lower Languedoc : Capestang. — Through field enquiries, an appraisal was made of the productions, incomes and expenditures of the economical agents and households of a viticultural village of the Lower Languedoc (Capestang, pop. 3 000) . The analysis of monetary flow reveals the importance of internal trade, the existence of a very strong stream of transit (wine trade), the main role of the closest sub-regional centre (Béziers, 35 % of the flow) , and the apparently weak action of large cities.

A partir d'enquêtes sur le terrain, on a pu évaluer les productions, les revenus et les dépenses des agents économiques et des ménages d'un village viticole du Languedoc (Capestang, 3 000 habitants) . L'analyse des flux monétaires montre l'importance des échanges internes, l'existence d'un très fort courant de transit (négoce des vins), la part essentielle du centre sous-régional le plus proche (Béziers, 35 % des flux) , le faible rôle apparent des grandes villes.
