Fünfunddreißig Jahre Studien über den italienischen Divisionismus : Stand der Forschung. Die grundlegenden Arbeiten über den Divisionismus analysierend, von den ersten Versuchen einer historischen Einordnung der Bewegung bis zu den letzten Jahren, untersucht die Autorin die herausragendsten Fakten und die Probleme, die mit dem Verständnis dieser Bewegung verbunden sind. Lange als später Epigone des französischen Pointillismus betrachtet, ist dieser tatsächlich ein komplexes Phänomen widersprüchlicher Verzweigungen, das nur im globalen Kontext der italienischen Kultur und Geschichte verstanden werden kann, unter Berücksichtigung fremder Einflüsse. Diese Arbeit schlagt ein systematisches Studium der Phasen vor, deren verschiedene Aspekte die Historiographie, Jahrzehnt um Jahrzehnt, untersucht, wahrgenommen oder falsch interpretiert hat. Schließlich äußert sich die Autorin zur Persönlichkeit Segantinis, der emblematisch und zugleich unvergleichbar für den Divisionismus der ersten Generation war.

Thirty-five years of studies on Italian Divisionism : the state of the research. Analysing the main publications on divisionism, from the first attempts of the historicisation of the movement until recent years, the author examines the salient facts and issues linked to the understanding of this movement. Considered for too long as a late epigone of French pointillism, it is in fact a complex phenomenon, which presents conflicting ramifications and cannot be understood outside of the general context of Italian culture and history. However, it is also impossible to discard foreign influences. The essay offers a systematic study of the various stages along which historiography, decade by decade, examined, grasped or misinterpreted its diverse characteristics. It ends with the figure of Segantini, a case both representative and unparalleled of early divisionism.

Trentacinque anni di studi sul Divisionismo italiano : stato dell'opera. Analizzando i principali lavori sul Divisionismo dai primi tentativi di storicizzazione del movimento fino a questi ultimi anni, l'autore esamina i fatti salienti e le problematiche legate alla comprensione di questo movimento. A lungo considerato quale tardo epigono del Pointillisme francese, esso è di fatto un fenomeno complesso, dalle contraddittorie ramificazioni, che non può essere inteso se non nel contesto globale della cultura e della Storia italiane, tuttavia senza che sia possibile ignorare le influenze straniere. L'articolo propone uno studio sistematico delle fasi attraverso le quali, decennio dopo decennio, la Storiografia ne ha esaminato, percepito o male interpretato i diversi aspetti. Si conclude sulla personalità di Segantini, caso al contempo emblematico e senza paragoni, nel Divisionismo della prima generazione.

Analysant les principaux travaux sur le divisionnisme à partir de l'origine des tentatives d'historicisation du mouvement jusqu'à ces dernières années, l'auteur examine les faits saillants et les problématiques liés à la compréhension de ce mouvement. Considéré pendant trop longtemps comme un épigone tardif du pointillisme français, c'est en fait un phénomène complexe, aux ramifications contradictoires, qui ne peut être compris que dans le contexte global de la culture et de l'histoire italiennes sans toutefois qu'il soit possible d'ignorer les influences étrangères. L'article propose une étude systématique des différentes phases à travers lesquelles l'historiographie, décennie par décennie, en a examiné, perçu ou mal interprété les divers aspects. Il se conclut sur la personnalité de Segantini, un cas à la fois emblématique et sans parallèle du divisionnisme de la première génération.
