Résumé En

The aim of this paper is to examine the different narrative voices that occur in Apuleius’ novel, that alternate or overlap in the Metamorphoses. After having shown how the arrangement of these voices structurally shapes the novel, we will try to describe the syntactic and enunciative processes used by the narrator to insert the characters’ words in his narrative, reported speeches oscillating between imitation and representation.
