Résumé 0

This data collection describes in quantitative terms the volume of juvenile cases disposed in 1994 by courts having jurisdiction over juvenile matters (delinquency, status offense, and dependency cases) in Nebraska. The Juvenile Court Reporting System was inaugurated in 1971 by the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice to collect data from juvenile justice agencies on each case disposed during the previous calendar year and reported to the Commission. The data are used by the Commission in juvenile justice planning, and by county and juvenile courts, juvenile probation offices, private and public agencies, and industry interested in juvenile involvement in the state's juvenile courts. Cases involving individuals under age 18 that were filed directly in district courts or juvenile traffic offenses or citations were not included. The data include a record of each case processed with or without filing a petition and include a county code, youth's date of birth, age at referral, sex, date of referral, date of disposition, and case disposition.
