The illustration on the cover of this issue comes from a patient file archived in the psychiatric clinic of Fann, in Dakar, Senegal. In addition to clinical observations and one-on-one interviews between psychiatrists, the patient and his entourage, the file held a dozen or so personal drawings and texts made by the patient during his hospitalisation in the 1960s.
