Examen rétrospectif d’une typologie non exhaustive des formes créées par le cinéma d’animation d’Émile Cohl et de leur dissémination ultérieure directe ou indirecte dans le cinéma d’animation international, passé ou contemporain, l’étude tente une approche épistémologique formelle et thématique, en évoquant notamment les apports d’André Martin, Donald Crafton, Bernard Clarens, Roland Cosandey.

A retrospective examination of a non-exhaustive typology of the forms created by the animated cinema of Émile Cohl, and of their later direct or indirect dissemination in international animated cinema of the past and present, this study attempts a formal and thematic epistemological approach, referring notably to the contributions of André Martin, Donald Crafton, Bernard Clarens, Roland Cosandey.
