Neste ensaio procuro trazer uma discussão sobre o engajamento do pesquisador na construção de narrativas etnográficas, ressaltando o processo político implicado na elaboração de um texto. Para tanto, discuto as escolhas narrativas feitas por três autoras, Lila Abu-Lughod (1993), Veena Das (2007) e Grace Cho (2008), refletindo sobre como buscaram dar conta textualmente das diferentes escalas encarnadas em corpos, experiências cotidianas, subjetividades, narrativas e nas relações particulares dos sujeitos de grandes movimentos sociopolíticos. São trabalhos que atentam para as significações da malha de afetos que perpassam tanto a vida dos sujeitos de pesquisa quanto para aquelas que são produzidas pelo pesquisador em campo, criando narrativas engajadas no mundo.

In this essay I aim to bring a discussion about the researcher's engagement in the construction of ethnographic narratives, emphasizing the political process involved in the elaboration of a text. To this end, I discuss the narrative choices made by three authors, Lila Abu-Lughod (1993), Veena Das (2007), and Grace Cho (2008), reflecting on how they sought to textually account for the different scales embodied in bodies, daily experiences, subjectivities, narratives and in the particular relationships of the subjects of great socio-political movements. These are works that pay attention to meanings of the network of affects that permeate both the life of the research subjects, as well as those produced by the researcher in the field, creating narratives engaged in the world.
