In this article, Stronach reviews a.o. the mechanics of Persian migration with the aid of the Arjan tomb. This tomb was dated around the 7th-6th century BC and displays both in its form and content a character less than strictly elamite. The form seems to be influenced by Assyrian standards, while the grave goods can to some extent be compared with objects coming from Northwestern Iran and also with Assyria.
