There is a single cuneiform sign (composed by two crossing wedges, one horizontal and the other vertical) engraved on the shaft of a blue composition knob found in Persepolis and bearing the Achaemenid inscription DPic. In this article, G.P. Basello identifies this sign with the similar cuneiform mark resembling the sign MAŠ in the stamp impressions found on Babylonian bricks dated to the Neo-Babylonian period (published by B.
