El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la novela Mar Caníbal (2016) de Uriel Quesada para comprender la representación del homoerotismo a partir del eje de la iniciación como tópico central, junto con la identidad como tema periférico. Se demostrará que los personajes que asumen una disidencia sexual fluctúan entre dicotomías que los hacen concebir su deseo de una manera subrepticia frente al discurso heteronormativo; sin embargo, esta coyuntura les permitirá crear estrategias de supervivencia que se van transformado a partir de los ejes propuestos: el transcurrir de la adolescencia a la adultez marcada por la iniciación a la sexualidad y el surgimiento de una identidad “abyecta” frente a lo socialmente aceptable.

The objective of this article is to analyze Uriel Quesada's novel Mar Caníbal (2016) to understand the representation of homoeroticism from the axis of initiation as a central topic, together with identity as a peripheral theme.
