The twenty-first United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP) staged in December 2015 in Paris was the occasion of a wide-ranging global debate on the relationship between humans and their natural environment and it has contributed towards officially acknowledging climate change and recognising that humans play a part in this phenomenon.
