Este artículo se centra en la producción gráfica de cuatro grabadoras: Mariana Yampolsky, Elizabeth Catlett, Fanny Rabel y Celia Calderón. A partir de la década de los 40 y hasta los años 60,  formaron parte del colectivo de artistas políticos llamado Taller de Gráfica Popular de México. Allí, produjeron obras con características estilísticas e iconográficas muy originales, principalmente en lo que respecta a la representación femenina, mostrando sus propias vidas de mujeres, en relación tanto con sus experiencias individuales como compartidas. El estudio nos permite, acercarnos a la historia de la mujer desde una perspectiva no oficial, pero también reconocer en particular, algunas de las contribuciones fundamentales que dichas artistas hicieron al Taller de Gráfica Popular, así como al arte mexicano en general..

This paper focuses on the graphic production of four engravers: Mariana Yampolsky, Elizabeth Catlett, Fanny Rabel and Celia Calderón. From the 1940s and throughout the 1960s, while they were part of the political artist collective Taller de Gráfica Popular, all of them produced works with very original stylistic and iconographic characteristics, mainly regarding the representation of women, which denotes their own situated knowledge as women in relation both to their individual and shared experiences. Their study allows us not only to approach women’s history from an unofficial perspective, but also to recognize some of the fundamental contributions the artists made to the Taller de Gráfica Popular in particular, as well as to Mexican art in general.
