Biner’s book addresses several tragic aspects of the military conflict between the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the Turkish Armed Forces during the post-emergency period following the failure of the peace process. The position of Syriacs in this fragile period and their complex relations with the Kurdish tribes are also discussed throughout the study.
