This issue of Les Ateliers d’anthropologie on hair and its treatment in the Tibetan cultural area is the result of a conference in March 2014 organized by the Société française d’études du monde tibétain (sfemt). It reproduces some of the works presented at that meeting, and deliberately establishes a dialogue with the trichological research of anthropologist Christian Bromberger, who honored the society not only by attending that conference, but also by contributing to this issue.
