Une évaluation en contexte de la poésie : le Kitāb al-Muwaššaḥ d’al-Marzubānī (m. 384/994)

Le Muwaššaḥ fī ma’āḫiḏ al-ʿulamā’ ʿalā al-šuʿarā’ de Muḥammad b. ʿImrān al-Marzubānī (m. 384/994) est, comme son nom le suggère, une compilation de reproches adressés aux poètes par diverses personnalités. Or, ces critiques reposent rarement sur les critères formels exprimés entre autres par Qudāma b. Ğaʿfar qui définit la poésie comme une parole métrée, rimée et douée de sens. Dès lors, existe-t-il d’autres critères implicites de poéticité qui serviraient de matrice à cette compilation ? C’est à cette question que cet article essaie de répondre, en soulignant l’importance du critère d’efficacité pragmatique dans l’évaluation de la poésie et en en suivant l’application dans plusieurs thématiques traditionnelles : panégyrique, jactance et satire, poésie amoureuse.

The Muwaššaḥ fī ma’āḫiḏ al-ʿulamā’ ‘alā al-šu‘arā’ by Muḥammad b. ‘Imrān al-Marzubānī (d. 384/994) is, as suggested by its title, a compilation of several instances of criticism of poets by various authorities. Nonetheless, very few of these critical statements rely on formal criteria as they appear in Qudāma b. Ğa‘far’s definition of poetry as a speech characterized by a metre, a rhyme and a meaning. Therefore, does there exist other implicit criteria of poeticity that would underly the matrix of this compilation? This is the question this article tries to answer, by emphasizing the importance of the criterion of pragmatic efficiency in the assessment of poetry, and by following its applications within several traditional themes such as encomium, self-praise, satire and love poetry.

كتاب الموشح في مآخذ العلماء على الشعراء لمحمد بن عمران المرزباني (ت. 384/994) هو، كما يوحي به عنوانه، مجموعة من الانتقادات وجّهتها شخصيات متنوعة إلى الشعراء. وتعتمد هذه المآخذ نادرًا ما على المقاييس الشكلية التي حددها قدامة بن جعفر وآخرون والتي تصف الشعر بأنه كلام موزون مقفّى له معنى. هل توجد إذن مقاييس ضمنية أخرى للشعرية، وشروط ضمنية لفاعلية الشعر ونجاحه، قد تستخدم كقالب لتأليف الكتاب ؟ هذا هو السؤال الذي تحاول المقالة الإجابة عنه عن طريق إبراز أهمية مقياس الفاعلية البراغماتية في تقييم الشعر ومتابعة تطبيقه في عدّة أغراض شعرية تقليدية كالمدح والفخر والهجاء والغزل.
