In the introduction to The Sound of Poetry/The Poetry of Sound, Marjorie Perloff declares, «Poetry inherently involves the structuring of sound», but «however central the sound dimension is to any and all poetry, no other poetic feature is currently as neglected». Redressing this may be one of the functions of this collection, to which I am happy to contribute.
