Diagnóstico del turismo rural en Extremadura: análisis de oferta y demanda

Extremadura es una de las regiones españolas en las que más se ha desarrollado el turismo rural, y donde mayores expectativas de crecimiento sigue habiendo. Este trabajo realiza una breve descripción de la situación actual del turismo rural extremeño y presenta las principales magnitudes de oferta de este subsector. También se analiza, desde un punto de vista tanto cuantitativo como cualitativo, la demanda de turismo rural de la región. Para ello, no sólo se presentan las cifras agregadas a nivel regional, sino también los datos desagregados de los cinco casos de éxito más importantes de la región en lo que a desarrollo del turismo rural se refiere. Extremadura in one of the spanish regions where rural tourism has experienced a higher development, and where there are still the highest expectations to growth. This paper makes a brief description of the current situation of rural tourism in Extremadura and also presents the main supply magnitudes for this subsector. The demand for rural tourism in the region is also analyzed, both from a quantitative and a qualitative point of view. To do this, not only the aggregated figures are presented at a regional level, but also the disaggregated data of the five most successful cases of the region in terms of development of rural tourism.
