Les cinq sites étudiés au chap. 4 ont contribué à la caractérisation de deux des unités géomorphologiques définies sur le tracé autoroutier entre Montereau et Troyes. Sont regroupés les résultats obtenus sur la lithostratigraphie et les indices paléolithiques des trois autres unités géomorphologiques, suite à la campagne de sondages géologiques et de diagnostics archéologiques systématiques. Ces unités géomorphologiques sont respectivement :– le Plateau sénonais nord de Vinneuf à Soucy ;– le Plateau sénonais sud de Soucy à Lailly ;– les vallées dissymétriques du Santonien entre Lailly et Estissac ;– les vallées dissymétriques du Coniacien entre Estissac et St‑Germain ;– les vallées dissymétriques du Turonien. Y sont décrits plus spécialement les formations superficielles et les contextes lithostratigraphiques, parfois associés à des indices d’occupation du Paléolithique moyen, mais qui n’ont pas fait l’objet d’une fouille de grande ampleur après la phase de prospection.

The five sites studied in chapter 4 have contributed to the characterisation of two of the geomorphological entities on the line of the motorway between Montereau and Troyes. The results concerning the lithostratigraphy and the palaeolithic indices of the three others geomorphological entities have been regrouped, following on from the campaign of geological test‑trenches and systematic archaeological evaluations. These geomorphological units are respectively:– the northern Senonais plateau from Vinneuf to Soucy ;– the southern Senonais plateau from Soucy to Lailly;– the disymetrical valleys of the Santonian region between Lailly and Estissac;– the disymetrical valleys of the Coniacian region between Estissac and St. Germain;– the disymetrical valleys of the Turonian region. Described therein are more particularly the superficial formations and the lithosratigraphic contexts. Though sometimes associated with Indices of a Middle Palaeolithic occupation, these were not subjected to a fuller archaeological investigation after the evaluation phase.

Die fünf im Kapitel 4 untersuchten Fundstellen haben zur Charakterisierung von zwei der auf dem Autobahnstreckenstück zwischen Montereau und Troyes definierten geomorphologischen Einheiten beigetragen. Im Anschluß an die geologischen Sondierungskampagnen und die systematischen archäologischen Diagnosen sind die lithostratigraphischen Erkenntnisse und die paläolithischen Indizien der drei weiteren geomorphologischen Einheiten zusammengefaßt worden. Bei den geomorphologischen Einheiten handelt es sich im einzelnen um:– das nördliche Plateau des Senonais von Vinneuf bis Soucy ;– das südliche Plateau des Senonais von Soucy bis Lailly;– die asymmetrischen Täler des Santonien zwischen Lailly und Estissac;– die asymmetrischen Täler des Coniacien zwischen Estissac und St‑Germain– die asymmetrischen Täler des Turonien Es werden dort insbesondere die Oberflächenbildungen und die lithostratigraphischen Zusammenhänge beschrieben unter gelegentlichem Verweis auf Siedlungsspuren des mittleren Paläolithikums, die nach der Prospektionsphase Jedoch nicht durch großangelegte Grabungen weiter erforscht worden sind.
