This paper will specifically discuss the unrelenting fight of the Sudan Communist Party (SCP) and the Sudan Workers’ Trade Union Federation (SWTUF) in colonial and postcolonial Sudan to equalize wages between workers in northern (typically described as Arabs and Muslims) and southern (typically described as “negroid” and “heathen”) Sudan.
