Résumé
The analysis of 144 graves of children and teenagers in Gallia Narbonensis during the period of theearly Roman Empire that are well-documented anthropologically allows the identification of differences in thegrave-goods deposited with different age-classes : neonates, infants, children from three to six years old, and older individuals. Even so, the presence of bowls shows that funerary feasting was associated with all age groups ; this is less frequent only in the case of newborn babies and infants. The latter age-groups are also characterized by the prevalence of amulets and coins among the items buried with them. Finally, this study shows that childrenwere integrated into society from a very early age.
