The first phase of the crusades against the heretics in Bohemia lasted for a dozen years. During this relatively short period, the crusaders underwent an evolution of strategy. In the early 1420s and again in 1431 mass expeditions invaded Bohemia from the North-East, from the South-West or from the North.
