Résumé
Many significant themes emerge from Moore’s The Luck of Ginger Coffey. Several of them, because of their emphasis, appear to be more significant than others. The most important one for the present discussion, is the limitation of the social and economic contexts where Moore’s characters develop. This is evident in his exploration of such subjects as emigration, alienation, and failure. Each of these, in turn, lends itself to different levels of interpretation.
