Résumé
Shortly after arriving in Cyprus, Tiburce Colonna Ceccaldi began his archaeological activities on the site of the Salines and the tombs around Larnaca. Probably disappointed by what he found, he turned his attention towards Idalion in mid-1867. His first research was conducted on the hills of Mouti tou Arvilli and Ambelliri. He then devoted his time to the tombs around Dali. The objects he collected have been sold for the most part to the Louvre Museum and one can perfectly distinguish the finds of statues, statuettes, heads, etc., from the location of various sanctuaries, and the discoveries of vases and small objects, provided mainly by the necropolises. The presentation of the travelogue written by TCC in 1878 for L’Illustration concludes the studies of the activities of the consul of France in Cyprus.
