Back in the summer of 2009 a small group of researchers with a shared interest in the consequences of the spatial turn upon postcolonial studies decided to launch an itinerant seminar that would meet every year once in the spring at Aix-Marseille University, and the following autumn in Montpellier at Paul-Valéry University.
