Dakar has seen the development of several initiatives aimed at producing African-centered critical thought, such as the Ateliers de la pensée, which were launched in 2016 by Felwine Sarr and Achille Mbembe; and the creation of several structures and partnerships focusing more specifically on artistic productions.
