Questo articolo analizza la politica degli Stati Uniti nei confronti della Spagna durante la Guerra Civile Spagnola, studiandone i rapporti con la Repubblica, le considerazioni che ne determinarono la neutralità, le reazioni della società, e i tentativi, falliti, del Presidente Franklin Delano Roosevelt di intervenire a favore della Repubblica in guerra.

This paper analyzes the United States’ foreign policy towards Spain during the Spanish Civil War, focusing on the diplomatic relationships with the Second Spanish Republic, the reasons behind neutrality, the reactions of the American public opinon and the failed attempts by President F. D. Roosevelt to help the beleaguered Spanish Government.
