La littérature peut constituer un tremplin favorisant la créativité d’adolescents hospitalisés en psychiatrie, et les aider à livrer ce qui fait problème au plus profond d’eux-mêmes. Elle procure le plaisir de la lecture d’un extrait de texte dont le style parle au goût, d’un assemblage de mots qui touchent la sensibilité. Les jeunes patients osent alors s’identifier à des figures qui leur ressemblent, s’en inspirent et aident ainsi les soignants à les comprendre.

Literature may be a springboard which favours the creativity of teenagers being temporarily in a psychiatric hospital, and may also help them to write what is raising a problem in dephts of their psyche. It gives them the pleasure of reading a part of a text that they like, an assemblage of words that touch their sensibility. Then, young patients dare identify to something or somebody that look like themselves, draw inspiration from it or him, and in this way, help caregivers to understand them.
