Los Cruceros turísticos en el Caribe-oeste y su articulación con la isla de Cozumel

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la dinámica territorial de las rutas de los cruceros en el Caribe y su vínculo con Cozumel. El Caribe es el primer lugar como destino turístico de cruceros de las principales navieras, destaca Cozumel ya que se ha posicionado como el destino de cruceros número uno en México, en el año 2019 se registraron 4, 569, 499 pasajeros de acuerdo con la Administración Portuaria Integral del Estado de Quintana Roo. Se realizó un análisis estadístico en el periodo de 2000 al 2019, develando el flujo y rutas de cruceros en el Caribe, así como el crecimiento de arribos y de pasajeros, en la isla de Cozumel. Se analizaron las principales compañías de cruceros que arriban a la isla y mediante los sistemas de información geográfica se representó cartográficamente la distribución y flujos de las rutas de cruceros en el año de 2019.

The objetive of this proyect (work) is to analyze the territorial dynamics of the cruise routes in the Caribbean and its link with Cozumel. The Caribbean is the first place as tourist cruise destination for the main shipping companies, Cozumel stands out as it has positioned itself as a number one cruise destination in México. In 2019 registered 4, 569, 499 passengers according to the Integral Port Administration of state of Quintana Roo. A statistical analysis was performed in the period from 2000 to 2019 revealing the flow and cruise routes in the Caribbean, as well as the arrivals growth and the passengers in the Cozumel island. Analyzed the main cruise companies those arrive in the island and the distribution and flow of the cruise routes in 2019 were cartographically represented by geographic information systems.
