Le MS Saraval 6 du Sefer ha-shorashim de David Qimḥi comporte dans ses marges extérieures des annotations (gloses et supergloses) écrites en un dialecte italo-roman graphié en lettres hébraïques vocalisées avec précision. Sur la base d’indices phonétiques on peut identifier sur la carte géolinguistique de l’Italie le dialecte dans lequel ont été rédigées ces marginalia : il s’agit d’un dialecte sabin des Abruzzes (région de L’Aquila). Cette étude se termine par une tentative de reconstruction de l’histoire du manuscrit depuis une ville de la région de L’Aquila (peut-être Civitaretenga) à Ancône où la présence du manuscrit est attestée vers 1494-1495 grâce à une note griffonnée à la toute fin du manuscrit. Le fait que le manuscrit soit passé trois fois de main en main en l’espace de deux ans pourrait être mis en relation avec l’instabilité provoquée par l’avancée des troupes françaises lors de la Première guerre d’Italie (1494-1497)
